"When we first came to know Raritan Valley/The Cherry Blossom Montessori, I hesitated to believe that such a global vision of universality and service could actually be a tenet of paractice embraced by an educational organization and that it was probably more likely that these were just words alone in a great sounding school motto. It is a rare find when one comes across these values in action, and this school is one such rare find. Talking about embracing diversity is one thing, but to transform word to actions, to honor and respect another's traditions even if that be of a small young child are true examples reflecting an effort and commitment to the children and the school. You are right when you say that we can make every effort, with our children, within ourselves, our schools and our communities towards peace and understanding of our global family in ways both small and large."

"As working parents, it is important to us that the comfort we feel with your school program also be extended into your aftercare program. It has been difficult for us to come to terms with the fact that our child's school day is longer than the time we actually spend at work. This has been a challenging issue for me personally. The staff you have for your aftercare program is wonderful. They play a very important role for RVM since they are the folks that the double parent working families have the most contact with and interact with the most."

"Our family attended a celebration where we all gathered around a science magician for a show. After the introductions, the magician asked the kids if anyone knew what a molecule was The kids chuckled and out of the laughter my son chimed in "I do!" The magician figured he would humor my son and asked him to explain. To everyone's surprise, he did just that and even went on to explain the various states of matter. The adults and kids were in complete awe of him and he felt so proud of himself. The people at our table asked me how he knew all of that and where he went to school. I was proud to answer. Later in the show, the magician asked if the kids liked school. They laughed and screamed "noooo!"...except for my son. Out of the loudness you could hear him scream "yesssssss!" Everyone laughed. He defended himself vehemently, too. "Hey, I do like school", he said. My husband and I felt pretty good. It is not the first time our son has stood out in the crowd and I'm sure it won't be the last. Not only is he learning an unbelievable amout but he's happy, too. As a parent , I'm sure you know what that means to us."
"Last week, the new children were transitioning into their school environment and for many parents, we were just as unsettled and apprehensive as the children could sometimes be. Our youngest child was starting school for the first time. So imagine my nerves. Anyway, on day three of dropping him of to school, he finally realized that he was being left behind. As I prepared to leave, his teacher picked him up so that we could say goodbye at the window; of course he was crying. I waited outside, periodically peeping through the window of the classroom door hoping he would settle down. Well it took him quite a while before he wanted to move from the goodbye window. During that time, the level of caring and commitment that his teacher showed our son cannot be commended enough. If there was ever a situation to recognize an outstanding teacher for going above and beyond the call of duty, it would be the professional manner in which she cared for our son. However, the level of support and caring from the staff is not just limited to the classrooms, but rather exists in interactions with the entire staff. There has not been one instance when our family was dissatisified with the manner in which our concerns, questions, and even open exchanges regarding school matters were addressed by any of the staff. They have repeatedly shown their willingness to provide those notable extras that make our school stand out."
